Beautiful epoxy floor in a NJ warehouse

Industrial Warehouse Epoxy Floors – Floor Skinz

Coating industrial warehouse flooring is a very important part of maintaining an industrial facility. The floor may need to hold up to acid or other corrosive chemicals, liquids, explosive chemicals, or sensitive electronics. In some cases, like a pharmaceutical facility or industrial food storage facility, it may need to be an antimicrobial flooring system.

There are many epoxy floor systems as well as, urethane, urethane cement, polished, and densified floors we can install. The trick is to determine what is the best for your facility.

In order to best determine what floor system is required in what part of your facility, we need to take a look at the whole picture.

  1. Will clients be walking through the facility? If so, good Egress markings will be needed to remain OSHA safety compliant and you may want to put a little color in areas where you can to make the floors “pop.”
  2. Where are the areas of most impact? These areas it may be best to consider a polished concrete floor or a UV epoxy system. Both are very extremely impact and scratch resistant floors.
  3. What about charging areas? Acid often drips from the equipment while charging and it takes an acid resistant novolac epoxy system to hold up to acid. In some cases, if there is enough acid exposure, a novolac slurry or urethane cement/novolac system may be needed.
