There are about a million epoxy systems out there that ranges from basic cheap water based stuff sold in Home Depot and Lowes to good 100% solid commercial grade epoxy sold at commercial outlets. Some prefer an even better specialty epoxy system designed for areas where anti-microbial surfaces. There are even more unique systems that are durable and based on polyester/polyerea resins, which are about 100 times as durable, but do not bond to the surface quite as well. We have implemented a system which uses a base coat that bonds to the concrete surface. This base coat bonds extremely well at a molecular level and remains flexible. Next, we imbed chips or quarts so it has some more protection. The chips also give a great deal of profile for the polyuria/poly-aspartic top coat to bond, making it the best, strongest floor available.

This multi-coat epoxy flooring system is perfect for locker rooms and commercial kitchens due to the non-slip characteristics. It is also great for hallways and workshops. By including a seamless cove base, you will eliminate the joints and corners where dirt, mold, and germs hide. The Floor Skinz elasti deck system will hold up to thermal shock, meaning you can pressure wash it with hot water.  We even have glow in the dark chips that can be used for emergency egress pathways.
